Similar to our efforts in the area of sustainable production practices, we are also in the process of developing a best practices guide and rating system for sustainable processing. Processing tomatoes requires a great deal of energy and as a result the focus of our efforts will be on energy use and conservation. In line with international thinking on the subject at the current time, we will be using a carbon based measurement system to benchmark our processing practices.
